What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Behavior Technician - Redwood City position at TUCCI LEARNING SOLUTIONS INC?
We are seeking an experienced RBT to work with a single private client in Redwood City. The client is a smart, friendly 18-year-old young man diagnosed with autism. The young man lives at home with his parents, and is supported by a team of ABA professionals and highly trained caregivers in the home and community. The ideal candidate is a compassionate and dedicated professional with at least 2 years of experience working with individuals diagnosed with autism or other developmental disabilities. Candidates with a BCAT, or ABAT certification will be considered, and those with weekend availability will receive first consideration.
Duties:
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior changes accurately and consistently.
- Assist client with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence and improve quality of life.
- Provide support in teaching social skills and self-management strategies.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills in behavioral therapy and special education practices.
- Support clients in various settings, including home and community environments.

Requirements:
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
- At least 2 years experience working with children or individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques and principles.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and understanding when working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those requiring behavioral management support.
- Familiarity with Self-Determination Programs is highly preferred.
