The Role:
As an Operations Support Specialist, you will be responsible for managing system transactions at our facility. Your primary focus will be to ensure efficient processing of both inbound and outbound system transactions and maintain the highest standards of quality. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including yard operators, drivers, and management to ensure seamless operations from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a central point of contact, facilitating effective communication between different departments, supervisors, suppliers, and customers.
- Manage daily inbound and outbound transactions; prepare and process all required documentation (Receivers/BOLs).
- Maintain high levels of organization, both physically and electronically.
- Communicate and interact with drivers to ensure they receive the proper paperwork corresponding to their loads.
- Support the billing team by gathering and preparing paperwork for invoicing.
- Support inventory management, including conducting regular audits on system inventory versus physical inventory.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively while managing multiple projects at once.
- Methodical work style, using processes and checklists to ensure that all the i’s are dotted, and t’s are crossed.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a keen eye for researching, identifying, and solving operational challenges. Do you triple-check your own work? Do you ask a lot of questions?
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams. Bilingual preferred.
- Proficient in using relevant software applications and tools.
- Previous experience in a similar operations support role is highly desirable.
