What are the responsibilities and job description for the Real Estate Agent — Silver Line Group | TTR Sotheby's International Realty | Northern Virginia position at TTR Sotheby’s International Realty?
Job description:
The Silver Line Group — a TTR Sotheby's International Realty team specializing in the Silver Line Metro corridor (Arlington, Falls Church, McLean, Reston) — is adding licensed agents to our team.
We serve Washington's most accomplished professionals: lawyers, executives, federal officials, diplomats, physicians, and entrepreneurs who trust us when it's time to move on to what's next. Our average sale price approaches $1 million. Our clients expect agents who operate at their level. This is not a desk and a logo. It is a fully built platform with real mentorship, real systems, and a brand that opens doors on both sides of the transaction.
What You'll Do
Real estate at this level is a full-contact profession. On any given day you might be hosting an open house in Arlington, attending a home inspection in Falls Church, negotiating a contract, coordinating with a title company to clear a closing issue, or walking a property with a contractor after an inspection. You will be the point of contact your clients rely on to keep their transaction moving and solve problems before they become crises.
Specifically:
- Represent buyers and sellers from initial consultation through closing
- Work leads and cultivate the team's database through disciplined daily outreach
- Host open houses and showings that reflect the Sotheby's standard
- Attend home inspections and guide clients through findings and repair negotiations
- Coordinate with title companies, settlement attorneys, lenders, and contractors
- Prepare and review contracts, addenda, and transaction documents with precision
- Conduct comparative market analysis to support pricing and offer strategy
- Maintain accurate pipeline records in the team CRM
- Shadow the full seller-side process from day one to develop into a full-service agent on both sides
What We Provide
- Active lead generation
- Comprehensive buyer and listing systems — documented, proven, and in daily use
- Direct mentorship from the team lead on negotiation, strategy, and client management
- Team social media, email newsletter, and full marketing support
- The full TTR Sotheby's platform: SothebysRealty.com, Elevate, Rechat, First Look, Agent , Property advertising, Global Referral Desk, legal/contract support, dedicated IT, and professional development
- Transactional and Marketing support
- Coaching framework and monthly training sessions
Who You Are
We can train real estate. We cannot train character, drive, or judgment.
- Self-starter with structure — you work an optimal daily schedule with discipline and hold yourself accountable to it
- Hungry and competitive — you want to win for your clients and you are building a career, not filling time
- Ethical without exception — our clients have spent careers building their reputations and will not work with an agent they don't trust completely
- Discreet — a client's transaction and circumstances are private, always
- Emotionally intelligent — you read people quickly, adapt your communication style, and know when to speak and when to listen
- Composed under pressure — your clients manage high-stakes situations every day and expect the same from their agent
- A quick learner who thinks on their feet — you find solutions and bring options, not obstacles
- A strong communicator, especially in writing — your correspondence reflects the standard of the clients you serve
- Genuinely curious about people — you are naturally interested in your clients' goals and lives, and it shows
- Coachable — ego is the enemy of growth; we coach hard and expect you to be coached
Requirements
- Active Virginia real estate license (or exam scheduled within 30 days); Maryland or DC licensure a plus
- Full-time commitment — this is not a side project
- Comfortable with CRM, MLS, Social Media, and real estate technology
- Professional presentation consistent with a Sotheby's International Realty affiliation
- Reliable transportation across Northern Virginia and the DC metro
Candidates from law, finance, consulting, the military, medicine, or high-end hospitality transition exceptionally well into this role. If you have lived and worked inside Washington's professional class, you already understand our clients.
Compensation
Income is commission-based and entirely uncapped. What you earn will be a direct reflection of your commitment, your tenacity, and your willingness to do the work every day — in this market, at our price points, the upside for the right agent is significant.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
Salary : $50,000 - $150,000
