Senior Survey Party Chief - San Antonio, TX
TTL, Inc. has a need for a survey party chief to work out of our San Antonio office. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of a survey crew. This person must have a good safety record and be able to communicate effectively with other team members and clients.
Primary responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Completes field assignments accurately while ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment.
- Performs the following surveys: boundary, control, topographic, construction layout and staking, environmental mapping, GPS/GIS surveys, and land surveying.
- Completes the field work by performing the administrative functions to include all computations, reduction of field notes, maintaining records, contacting clients, etc.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience as Survey Crew Chief or Degree in Mapping, Surveying, GIS or a Geospatial Field
- Proficient in the use of GPS, Robotic Total Station and data collectors.
- H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Must be able to work in all types of weather and field conditions
- Must be able to work outside typical daily 8 am to 5 pm hours
- Must be able to travel for extended periods of time
- Must have basic computer skills for time, expense and field data entry
- Ability to communicate professionally orally and in writing, read and interpret survey maps and construction plans
