This role requires a unique blend of instructional oversight—specifically in STEM—and high-level management of school facilities, technology, and student services. The AP serves as the acting administrator in the absence of the Principal or Superintendent.

This role also includes a combined Math Lab Leadership/Science Teaching component as our school is currently very small (40 students).

Key Responsibilities1. Leadership of  Operations

  • Facilities & Safety: Oversee building maintenance, safety protocols, and emergency drills to ensure a secure learning environment.
  • Technology: Oversee our devices, assets, software, online curriculum, e-rate, our technology vendor, and STEM Materials.
  • Nutrition & Transportation: Manage school nutrition programs and oversee transportation logistics, including arrival and dismissal,  procurement of a new bus and direct supervision of the bus driver.
  • Health & Wellness: Provide administrative oversight for the Nursing department and "Movement" initiatives (PE and FitnessGram coordination).

  • HQIM: Lead the procurement and distribution of High-Quality Instructional Materials (Textbooks).
3. STEM Instructional Leadership (Math Lab/Science Instructor As Needed)
  • Science Teacher of Record: Deliver direct instruction for four Science classes per week, managing lesson planning, grading, and lab safety.
  • Technology:  Support students and staff in learning technology applications (i.e. AI and Playlab AI, internet safety, digital wellness, etc)
  • Math Lab Facilitator: Act as the primary facilitator for the Math Lab, supporting student intervention, data-driven practice, and individual growth targets. Math teacher of record for the substitute-driven or self-guided math courses.
  • Engineering Programming: Support our Flex Friday Engineering programming
4. Special Populations & Student Support
  • Compliance: Oversee programs for SPED, 504, and Emergent Bilingual (EB) students.
  • Meetings: Attend and facilitate ARD and LPAC meetings to ensure legal compliance and student success.
  • Discipline: Provide secondary support for student discipline and behavioral interventions.
5. Financial & Administrative Support
  • Fiscal Support: Assist the Superintendent and Finance Department with budget monitoring and operational expenditures.
  • Instructional Support: Support the Contracted Instructional Specialist and conduct T-TESS evaluations to ensure high-quality teaching across the campus.

Other duties as needed.
