The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, has prior warehouse experience, is comfortable operating material handling equipment, and thrives in a dynamic logistics setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and process inbound freight shipments.
- Verify cargo against packing lists, bills of lading, and other shipping documentation.
- Safely load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Move, stage, and organize freight throughout the warehouse.
- Pick, pack, label, palletize, wrap, and prepare outbound shipments for transportation.
- Ensure proper handling and preparation of domestic and international freight.
- Perform inventory counts, cycle counts, and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Identify and report shipment discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow company policies, OSHA regulations, and all warehouse safety procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with warehouse supervisors, operations personnel, drivers, and logistics partners.
- Support additional warehouse and operational duties as assigned.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, distribution, freight forwarding, or shipping and receiving environments preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts; forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents, including packing lists and bills of lading.
- Basic computer proficiency; experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding warehouse tasks.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
- Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and commitment to workplace safety.
- Freight forwarding, third-party logistics (3PL), or international logistics operations.
- Ocean freight, air freight, or cargo handling experience.
- Inventory control and warehouse management systems.
- RF scanners, barcode technology, and shipment tracking systems.
- Container unloading and export/import shipment preparation.
