Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial maintenance and mechanical knowledge, with experience in troubleshooting and repairing various systems. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our facility, providing technical support, and maintaining equipment to meet production demands.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including HVAC/R systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities and inventory management.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic systems and perform repairs as needed.
- Conduct electrical work, including high voltage and low voltage tasks, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Operate scissor lifts and other machinery safely to perform maintenance tasks at height.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters for diagnostics and analysis.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from production staff.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Experience
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or technician in a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, including HVAC/R systems.
- Familiarity with technical sales processes is a plus.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS software is preferred.
- Ability to read schematics and perform electrical work safely, including high voltage applications.
- Welding experience, particularly in welding techniques, is advantageous.
- Military background or training may be considered an asset.
