Position Summary
The Director of Operations will lead, scale, and optimize our operations. Our company leases/sales advanced IT-integrated security equipment, manages complex physical installations, provides ongoing technical service, and delivers continuous IT monitoring solutions. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between traditional physical security logistics and infrastructure management. You will oversee the entire lifecycle—from inventory and field deployment to network integration, client servicing, and uptime monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Operational Scaling
- Standardize Workflows: Define and optimize standard operating procedures (SOPs) across the inventory, installation, field service, and monitoring departments.
- KPI Management: Track and report on operational metrics, including installation lead times, first-time-fix rates, asset utilization, and monitoring center SLA compliance.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with Sales, Deployment, and Customer Service teams to ensure smooth handoffs from contract signing to live monitoring.
- Lead and mentor: Work closely with a growing team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
Deployment & Field Installation
- Project Management: Oversee the project management team responsible for deploying heavily networked security equipment at client sites.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all field operations comply with local building codes, electrical regulations, and occupational safety standards.
IT Infrastructure
- Network Integration Support: Ensure field teams effectively collaborate with client IT departments regarding network configurations, firewalls, bandwidth allocations, and cybersecurity protocols.
- Service Desk & Monitoring Oversight: Manage the daily operations of the Client Technical Service Department that monitors equipment health, network connectivity, and live security feeds.
Technical Asset Management & Field Service
- Lease Asset Lifecycle: Oversee the logistics, tracking, refurbishment, and depreciation of all leased security hardware.
- Preventative Maintenance: Design and execute proactive servicing schedules to maximize equipment uptime and extend asset lifespans.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience & Education
- 8 years of operations leadership in a high-growth hardware or tech-services environment.
- Direct experience overseeing mixed business models that combine physical manufacturing with recurring service/maintenance lifecycles.
- Proven success in scaling domestic operations.
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot operational bottlenecks that span both physical hardware and digital networks.
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate technical IT concepts to client stakeholders and physical installers alike.
- Team Building: Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams, including field technicians, project managers, and network monitoring staff.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
