Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook hibachi-style dishes (meats, seafood, vegetables, rice, noodles) on a teppanyaki grill in front of guests
- Perform entertaining cooking techniques (knife skills, flipping, flaming, etc.) while maintaining safety standards
- Greet guests warmly, introduce the menu, and explain hibachi grill options and cooking styles
- Take and confirm guest orders accurately, including special requests and dietary restrictions
- Cook multiple guest orders simultaneously while maintaining portion control, quality, and presentation standards
- Ensure all food is cooked to proper temperature and served in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized grill station and surrounding work area
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines (including proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients)
- Prepare ingredients before service (cutting meats and vegetables, making sauces, portioning items, etc.)
- Collaborate with kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure smooth service and a positive guest experience
- Monitor inventory of hibachi ingredients and communicate low stock or prep needs to management or kitchen lead
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
