Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual/automatic transmission across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Manage route driving responsibilities with precision, ensuring on-time deliveries while optimizing routes for efficiency
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or any issues encountered on the road
- Assist in securing loads on specialized trucks to prevent shifting during transit
Experience
- Proven experience operating commercial trucks with a valid CDL Class A license
- Demonstrated ability to drive manual transmission trucks confidently and safely
- Prior delivery driver experience involving freight handling, load & unload procedures, and route driving preferred
- Familiarity with operating flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is highly desirable
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to trucking operations and cargo securement techniques
