Job DescriptionThe President of the Foundation oversees statewide advancement operations which includes database management; donor retention; gift processing; alumni and constituent engagement; Foundation board relations; scholarship and fund management which includes creation and execution of gift agreements, disbursement of funds and reporting; campaign strategic planning and execution.Essential Functions
Employee will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students and members of the community.
Development and execution of strategy and the effective administration and oversight of all operations, endowment and investment management, and external affairs to achieve long-term goals set in collaboration with the college. Manages and supervises operations statewide for the office of Institutional Advancements which includes Foundation staff.
Plans, coordinates, and develops, and routinely reevaluates a strategic plan to build an engaged and active alumni base statewide.
Establish and monitor the budget for Institutional Advancement statewide
Understands the broader strategic value of The Foundation in fostering and executing on strategic business ventures between Foundation and the college; leverages 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. Develop and implement annual goals and objectives including in accordance with TSTC Foundation operating plan.
Serves as liaison between TSTC leadership and Foundation board of directors and develops trusted relationships that further the strategic mission of the college. Serve as lead liaison to the local campus administration and faculty to increase giving.
Cultivate and coordinate local volunteer networks in nurturing high-level relationships across the constituent base that furthers fundraising processes.
Inspirational leadership to staff, demonstrates visionary leadership internally and externally and cultivates strategic cross-collaborative relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally. Proactively provides board training and development, in executing the goals of the Foundation as set forth in the strategic plan, and in carrying out its mission.
Key functional areas include: governance, board cultivation, board administration, financial management, legal, marketing/PR/communications, strategic planning/vision development/partnerships, management and administration

- Fundraising Expertise: Demonstrated success in managing sizable gifts portfolios, cultivating donor relationships, and executing fundraising campaigns.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term strategic plans to advance the mission and goals of the TSTC Foundation.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders, including high-level presentations and public speaking.
- Financial Acumen: Sound understanding of financial management principles, budgeting, and resource allocation within a non-profit context.
- Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to develop and nurture relationships with high-level donors, Foundation board members, and other key stakeholders.
- Non-profit Management: Proficiency in non-profit management, including governance, legal compliance, and marketing
Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required. Master's preferred.
Five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in a management position in non-profit management along with the fluency and understanding of philanthropy, sound business and financial acumen.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of C-level and sizable gifts portfolio management.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills and ability to engage in high- level presentations, public speaking, etc.
Preferred experience in governance, board cultivation, board administration, financial management, legal, marketing/PR/communications, strategic planning/vision development/partnerships, management, and administration
Strong interpersonal skills for developing relationships with high-level donors and gift prospects.
