Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced security engineer or IAM specialist with strong hands-on expertise in Okta implementation, specifically around Single Sign-On (SSO) configuration and Zero Trust security architecture. This role focuses on designing, deploying, and optimizing identity and access management solutions to strengthen enterprise security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation and configuration of Okta SSO across enterprise applications.
• Design and deploy Zero Trust / Zero Authentication frameworks leveraging Okta Identity Cloud.
• Integrate Okta with cloud and on-prem systems (e.g., SaaS apps, custom apps, AD/LDAP).
• Configure MFA, lifecycle management, user provisioning, and policies.
• Develop secure identity workflows, automation, and access policies.
• Troubleshoot authentication, authorization, and integration issues.
• Work with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure best-practice identity governance.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience implementing Okta SSO solutions.
• Experience with Zero Trust security models and authentication hardening.
• Knowledge of modern IAM standards (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, SCIM).
• Background integrating Okta with enterprise applications and directories.
• Understanding of MFA, conditional access, and adaptive authentication.
• Ability to document architecture and produce technical implementation plans.

Nice-to-Have:

• Okta certifications (e.g., Okta Certified Professional, Administrator, Consultant).
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Okta Workflows, Terraform).
• Experience with broader IAM or cybersecurity platforms.
