Job Description
We are seeking a Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in Core Java, Apache Spark, and Big Data processing to support high-volume risk analytics within a financial domain. The candidate will build and optimize distributed data pipelines that power risk calculations, trade analytics, and regulatory reporting at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize scalable Java Spark-based pipelines for large-scale financial data processing and analysis.
- Design and implement distributed computing solutions for risk modeling, pricing, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure efficient data storage and retrieval using Big Data platforms and patterns.
- Apply Spark performance tuning best practices, including partitioning, caching, and memory management.
- Maintain high code quality with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and version control using Git and Jenkins.
- Contribute to batch processing frameworks for market risk analytics.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 7 years of software development experience, including 3 years with Java Spark and Big Data frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Java with core Spark concepts (RDDs, DataFrames, Spark Streaming).
- Hands-on experience with Hadoop and Spark in production environments.
- Experience in financial markets, risk management, and financial instruments.
- Familiarity with market risk concepts such as VaR, Greeks, scenario analysis, and stress testing.
- Proficiency with Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a mathematical and analytical mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced financial environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with market risk analytics pipelines and regulatory reporting workflows.
- Background in pricing libraries or quantitative analytics.
