Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced NetApp Storage Engineer with deep expertise in ONTAP and core NetApp technologies. This role will support complex storage initiatives, perform hardware break/fix activities, and provide consultative technical leadership for ongoing and upcoming projects.
The position offers a primarily remote schedule, with onsite work approximately once per week to perform scheduled maintenance or project-based support. Please note that candidates must work in the NYC geographical area.

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced NetApp Storage Engineer with deep expertise in ONTAP and core NetApp technologies. This role will support complex storage initiatives, perform hardware break/fix activities, and provide consultative technical leadership for ongoing and upcoming projects.
The position offers a primarily remote schedule, with onsite work approximately once per week to perform scheduled maintenance or project-based support. Please note that candidates must work in the NYC geographical area.
- Location: Brooklyn, NY – Hybrid (80% remote / 20% onsite)
- Duration: 7-month contract | high likelihood of extension
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for NetApp ONTAP and core storage technologies
- Lead and execute break/fix and maintenance tasks for NetApp hardware (FAS and AFF platforms)
- Provide technical consultation and recommendations for special storage-related projects
- Support troubleshooting, performance optimization, and capacity planning within the storage environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and data integrity
- Extensive hands-on experience with NetApp ONTAP administration and configuration
- Proven expertise in NetApp Core Technologies, including FAS and AFF platforms
- Strong hardware troubleshooting and break/fix experience
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills in complex storage environments
- Strong understanding of data protection, replication, and automation frameworks
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a hybrid support model
- Experience working with Kubernetes integration and containerized storage solutions
- Familiarity with ASA Fibre Channel and SAN/NAS storage architectures
- NetApp-related certifications (NCDA, NCIE, etc)
- Location: Hybrid – approximately 80% remote / 20% onsite (Brooklyn, NY)
- On-site presence required for scheduled maintenance and project execution
- Pay grade: 30
