We are currently looking for an operator to work either 4 x 10hr days across alternating weeks (e.g. one week Sunday-Wednesday and one week Wednesday – Friday) or 5 x 8hr days Monday – Saturday, with the flexibility to support 12-hr shift coverage (any shift days or nights) as needed.

THESE ARE THE JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A SUPPLEMENTAL OPERATOR:
- Operate and Maintain Systems: Monitor, operate, and maintain building systems through SCADA/remote paging, including troubleshooting and performing in field equipment/asset preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure zero impact on manufacturing.
- Perform daily inspections of operational areas that may include hazards such as sound, extreme heat or cold, chemicals, high voltage electricity, and heavy equipment
- Execute scheduled and corrective maintenance work adhering to the approved best known method for all tasks completed
- Perform system scheduled maintenance and other work assigned on a daily basis
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of daily activities, equipment status, and operating parameters.
- Review, maintain, comprehend, and follow Work Plans, Sequence of Operations, Standard Operating Procedures, P&ID's, and Process Flow Diagrams.
- Response & Diagnostics: Respond quickly to system issues and potentially critical situations, performing rapid and accurate situational assessments and implementing immediate troubleshooting and corrective actions to minimize downtime and ensure safe operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent with 5 years of relevant experience OR
- 2 years of experience with an Associate's degree
- Willingness to handle call-in situations after hours
- Knowledge in the principles of operating and monitoring various systems including:
- Electrical systems
- Exhaust systems
- Centrifugal chillers and their support equipment
- Gas fired boiler operation
- DI plant operation
- Centrifugal air compressors
- Centrifugal pumps and piping systems
- Industrial waste treatment plant operation
- Air systems including CRAC's, VAV's, AHU/MAU's, VLFs
- Understanding of water distribution systems (CHW, HW, PCW, DIW), exhaust systems (balancing, measuring), pumps, and piping installation methods
- Ability to read, understand, and update mechanical, electrical, chemical, and controls system drawings
- Must be able to use basic PC applications, such as Outlook, Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Must be team-oriented and highly collaborative, possess effective oral and written communication skills; work must be extremely reliable, with consistent and dependable attendance
- Able to interpret and work from written instructions and drawings with minimal supervision
- Pay: up to $37 an hour
