Are you a hands-on problem-solver who takes pride in your work? We're seeking a Residential Maintenance Technician to help maintain safe, functional, and comfortable homes for our residents. From fixing a leaky faucet to prepping units for new tenants, your work matters—and makes a real impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs, including:
- Drywall patching and painting
- Replacing light fixtures and door hardware
- Basic plumbing tasks like unclogging drains and changing faucets
- Diagnose maintenance issues and determine next steps
- Respond to service requests quickly and professionally
- Support move-in and move-out inspections
- Maintain tools and a clean, safe work area
- Communicate effectively with residents and property management
- Keep detailed maintenance records and reports
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2 years of residential maintenance or similar experience
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC basics
- Comfortable using hand tools and equipment
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Physical Requirements:
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders
- Work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
Work Schedule:
- On-site at residential properties in Anchorage
- May require weekends or on-call availability for emergencies
