What You’ll Do
As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will play a key role in supporting daily project operations. Responsibilities include:
- Performing daily pre-operation inspections on equipment
- Operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently on job sites
- Running equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, backhoes, scrapers, forklifts, and skid steers
- Maintaining equipment and reporting any mechanical issues
- Communicating effectively with supervisors and crew members
- Following all site safety protocols and company standards
- Assisting with additional tasks to support field operations including groundwork
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- MSHA Surface Miner part 46 or part 48
- Experience operating heavy equipment at an MSHA regulated pit
- Basic knowledge of maintenance and inspections of crushing equipment
- Ability to follow safety procedures and MSHA jobsite protocols
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs
- Reliable and team-oriented mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating an excavator and/or dozer at an aggregate crushing pit
- Experience working around crews and multiple pieces of equipment
- Familiarity with grade control and crushing equipment
Work Environment
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, dust, wind, etc.)
- Frequent exposure to active construction zones and heavy equipment
- Physically demanding work including lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Compliance with strict safety standards and procedures

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 50.0 per week
