Entry-Level Geologist
Founded in 1989, TSi Geotechnical, Inc. is a specialized practice in geotechnical engineering, drilling and sampling, materials testing, and construction observation and documentation. We have extensive experience in a variety of projects in building design and renovation, as well as roads, bridges, water, wastewater and storm water with offices in Kansas City, St. Louis, and Bloomington-Normal, IL.
We are seeking a candidate with a Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Geology, Civil or Geological Engineering from an ABET-accredited College or university.
The successful entry-level Geologist candidate will perform the following duties:
- Field observation at construction sites - including inspection and testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt pavements
- Conduct pier inspections
- Logging of test borings
- Perform laboratory testing
- Report Writing
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Geology or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited College or University. Could also be currently pursuing degree.
- Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation.
- No restrictions to being outdoors.
- Self-motivated, must have the ability to see what needs to be accomplished & then complete it.
- Strong decision making and/or problem solving skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD and reading plans.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with others.
- Computer literate.
