Job Summary
The Manufacturing Production Lead is responsible for overseeing daily production operations on the manufacturing floor. This role ensures that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The Production Lead supervises team members, coordinates workflow, and acts as a liaison between management and production staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise production team members during assigned shifts
- Ensure production schedules and targets are met on time
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with company standards
- Enforce safety policies and promote a safe working environment
- Train, mentor, and support new and existing employees
- Coordinate workflow and assign tasks to optimize efficiency
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate production records and reports
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and management teams
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2–5 years of manufacturing experience, with leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of production processes and equipment
- Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities
- Basic computer skills (ERP systems, Microsoft Office, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
