General Managers contribute to MOD’s success by leading a team of MOD Squad Members to maintain and deliver the MOD commitment for our guests. The General Manager is required to utilize discretion in managing the overall operation of their store. The majority of the time spent is supervising and directing the MOD Squad Members, and ensuring complete guests’ satisfaction. The General Manager oversees staffing decisions, hiring, training, disciplining, and uplifting their MOD Squad Members. Success is measured through managing the restaurant’s financial performance, MOD Squad morale, safety and security of their restaurant. As a General Manager for MOD your objective is to live, teach and demonstrate the MOD Pizza culture in all interactions.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the hiring and performance management of the employees within that department.
Essential Job Functions
• Supports the implementation of company programs through motivation and instruction to meet store operational and organizational objectives
• Setting goals for the MOD Squad, developing organizational capability and delivering the MOD commitment
• Holds MOD Squad Members accountable for delivering quality product and guest’s service
• Plans, identifies, communicates, and delegates the responsibilities and practices for the MOD Squad to ensure operational success
• Manages with integrity, honesty, and respect that promote the culture, core-mission, and values of MOD
• Responsible for the creation of schedules that meet the needs of the business; ensuring that agreat guests experience is delivered while maintaining financial results
• Responsible for all product ordering from various vendors directly; develops foodpars
• Maintains a calm/cool presence during peak volumes or unannounced events to uphold our goal to provide memorable guests service to all MOD patrons
• Direct contributor to reinforce a positive MOD Squad environment, recognizes team successes and opportunities to provide coaching and direction
• Constantly monitors restaurant’s staffing levels to ensure MOD Squad Member development and talent achieve and maintain restaurant operational requirements
• Utilizes operational tools to plan and achieve operational excellence in their restaurants; labor scheduling, monthly status reports, quarterly business review, cash and inventory management
• Solicits guests’ feedback to understand guests questions, and needs of their community
• Directly develops and maintains positive MOD Squad Member relationships through motivation, communication, and understanding; challenges and inspires MOD Squad Members
• Actively oversees MOD Squad Members through conducting performance reviews, coaching, and setting clear goals to achieve organizational needs
• Ensures adherence to applicable wage and hour laws for MOD Squad members
Educational / Experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Business or related field preferred
• Three years of progressively responsible retail experience, including two years ofsupervisory level experience
• Direct P/L Responsibility
• Experience analyzing financial reports and data

Physical and Mental Requirements
