TSE International designs, manufactures and markets custom-built equipment for construction and maintenance of electrical transmission and distribution lines, telecommunication/fiber optics projects, and custom equipment for wastewater/sewer industry.
Job Summary:
The purchasing manager should be accustomed to a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for managing the procurement process from sourcing to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Purchasing Manager will oversee the supply chain - ensuring parts and components are on time. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Source and procure materials, goods, and services from vendors and suppliers in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Conduct market research and analyze price quotes to ensure the best possible pricing for company purchases.
- Manage and maintain inventory levels to ensure that stock is at optimal levels.
- Implement and manage the company's MRP system to ensure that production and delivery schedules are met.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure favorable terms and pricing.
- Oversee logistics and transportation to ensure that goods are delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, such as those related to supply chain and logistics.
- Manage and coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure that inventory is properly received, stored, and distributed.
- Provide regular updates to management on procurement activities and ensure that all procurement records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that procurement activities align with the company's overall business objectives.
Requirements:
- Post secondary education in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred
- Proven leadership experience as a Purchasing Supervisor.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management, including sourcing, logistics, and vendor management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of MRP systems and their applications in the procurement process.
- Familiarity with procurement laws and regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
