What are the responsibilities and job description for the GENERAL CLERK III - IJO position at TSAY FEDERAL CONTRACTING GROUP?
SUMMARY
The General Clerk III performs a variety of administrative duties, maintaining financial and other records, and verifying reports for accuracy and completeness. This position is to ensure the level of support for Level II IJO required due to the demand of projects and contractual responsibilities. The General Clerk III also may direct lower level clerks including overview of the Dig Permit Process and coordination of duties for the office to run smoothly and efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Prepares and sorts source documents.
- Contacts preparers of source documents to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data.
- Contacts and coordinates with outside service providers.
- Coordinates outages: water, electric, road closures, etc.
- Data entry from source documents into GFEBS systems.
- Updates and enters Frequent Visitor Access Cards as often as needed.
- Reviews and makes necessary corrections to information entered.
- Assists in establishing and maintaining an effective and efficient records management system.
- Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required for office operations.
- Responsible for keeping filing up to date.
- May be required to perform other tasks as requested by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have data entry skills and experience using current computer software applications.
- Must have strong Excel and Word experience.
- Must be able to qualify for security clearance within one month. Microsoft Access knowledge helpful, but not required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ related experience.
- Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, managers and staff members.
