Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles such as box trucks, shuttle vans, and other heavy-duty trucks to complete daily delivery routes
- Load and unload packages efficiently using pallet jacks or hand trucks, ensuring proper handling and secure placement
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery confirmation records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure safe transportation at all times
- Assist with warehouse duties when necessary, including moving freight or equipment within the facility
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., Class B or C) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, route delivery, or shuttle driving roles
- Mechanical knowledge of commercial vehicles, including manual transmission operation and basic troubleshooting skills
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment is a plus
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to load & unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety standards
- Knowledge of heavy haul operations or heavy equipment operation is advantageous but not required
- Physical ability to move freight, lift packages, and perform vehicle inspections regularly
