Summary of the Position: This is a strategic position working on high-priority projects and initiatives that impact major business decisions and relationships with investors. The individual must have strong interpersonal skills to interact and collaborate with teammates and senior management. Strong experience in research along with cash flow analysis and underwriting is essential. The individual will work with various disciplines of the firm, including Acquisitions, Development, Portfolio Management, Asset Management, Leasing, Accounting, Property Management, Debt Capital Markets, and Design & Construction. Key Responsibilities: Developing investor presentations and offering memoranda (PPMs, pitch books, teasers) based on a comprehensive understanding of Tishman Speyer, the objectives of a specific investment vehicle, and the nature of the target audience. Collaborating with Relationship Managers to manage the due diligence process for potential investors. Overseeing and collaborating on the completion of RFPs, RFIs and regular information updates issued by consultants and institutional investors regarding potential real estate investments for fund investments and direct/joint-venture investments. Coordinating with existing and prospective partners on current investments and opportunities in conjunction with Portfolio Management and the Relationship Managers. Proactively performing in-depth research on real estate markets and asset classes. Gathering transaction-level and market updates from regional asset managers, crafting them into cohesive and well-themed briefs for marketing materials or interim client updates Analysis of profitability of new investment vehicles including commingled funds, joint ventures and separately managed accounts. Producing internal memoranda, white papers and analyses highlighting trends in the global real estate markets and capital flows. Provide research support for senior team members and for presentations to senior management. Skills & Qualifications: 4-6 years of finance/real estate/investment banking experience with an emphasis on market research and financial analysis. Advanced research skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent financial modeling skills including a high degree of proficiency with Excel. Must display initiative, good judgment in managing multiple tasks and strong problem solving skills. The ability to think strategically and to present information in a clear and concise manner is critical. The ability to work independently and proactively. The ability to communicate effectively across all functions and with senior management. Exceptional attention to detail and organization. Prior experience in commercial real estate is preferred, but not required. The base compensation range for this role is $115,000 to $135,000. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, as well as access to our comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) plan (with matching contributions), wellness benefits and all other benefits afforded to full-time Tishman Speyer employees.This base range reflects a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skill sets, and/or licensure required of an individual in this particular role. The base range is also specific to members of Tishman Speyer’s California team, as we’ve considered factors specific to this geography.
