Tryon Country Club a 1916 Donald Ross gem in the foothills of North Carolina is opening its doors to golf loving motivated individuals to join our team as a Golf Shop Attendant / Carts, to execute exceptional experience for members and their guest alike. This dynamic role is in search of a self starter and detail oriented individual helping to create a welcoming and efficient environment on the golf course. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills and be part of a laid back yet energetic team dedicated to delivering memorable moments.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their visit
- Run an efficient tee sheet and make reservations for members and their guest
- Assist guests with cart rentals, including processing POS transactions
- Operate and maintain golf carts, ensuring they are clean, fueled, and ready for use between rounds, and days end
- Manage cart logistics by organizing and parking carts efficiently to optimize course flow
- Enforce safety protocols during cart operation and outdoor work to ensure guest and staff safety
- Support event management activities by coordinating carts for tournaments or special events
- Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting (up to 30lbs) when necessary for equipment or supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the golf shop area to enhance guest experience
- Follow all safety procedures diligently, including first aid and CPR when needed, to respond effectively in emergencies
Skills
- Golf knowledge preferred but not mandatory
- Customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach to member/guest interactions
- Experience in retail sales, processing transactions accurately using POS systems
- Strong communication skills suitable for public speaking and engaging with diverse guests
- Ability to manage a fast-paced environment
- Outdoor work experience with an understanding of safety protocols in open-air settings
- Basic math skills for transaction processing and inventory management
- First aid certification, CPR training, or lifeguard experience indicates readiness for emergency response
- Manual handling skills for heavy lifting of equipment or supplies safely and efficiently
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
