What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC Construction Project Manager position at TRV Mechanical Contractors?
Responsibilities
- Conducting site visits to oversee project progress, address any issues, monitor material usage, and ensure resource availability.
- Developing comprehensive material lists for procurement and tracking deliveries.
- Efficiently scheduling tasks for various technical teams such as HVAC, controls, other trade partners to ensure timely project completion.
- Enforcing strict adherence to project timelines and deadlines.
- Managing and monitoring project schedules, phase deadlines, and resource allocation to align with budgetary constraints.
- Implementing and maintaining a robust project management system, including daily schedule updates.
- Proactively identifying and resolving obstacles or complications to maintain project timeline integrity.
- Conducting weekly client meetings to provide updates and address concerns.
- Facilitating weekly meetings with design and engineering teams to coordinate project plans, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and materials procurement for new construction projects.
- Assessing worker productivity and generating comprehensive progress reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Continuously updating schedules and timetables to accommodate modifications or changes.
- Organizing and safeguarding project documentation such as reports, plans, schedules, and orders.
- Reviewing architectural, structural, and MEP plans against on-site as-built conditions for accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinating and scheduling inspector visits to ensure regulatory compliance and quality assurance standards are met.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field
- Strong Knowledge about the HVAC mechanical system design and installation practices
- Knowledge of Boilers, chillers, cooling towers , pumps, hydronic system
- Knowledge of Split system, VRF system and Piping, ductwork installation.
- Experience in high rise residential, commercial, warehouse, Core and shell projects
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum 10 years of experience.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at same time.
- Experience with Procore, Building connect and other online interactive tools is preferred
