ACCOUNTABILITY TO:
Administrator
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Graduate
2. Recent technician experience or sterile processing experience preferred
3. Maintains Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification (CPR)
Responsible for following guidelines in handling, cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of equipment. Functions cooperatively with Physicians and staff exhibiting teamwork characteristics.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepares equipment and anticipates Physician and patient needs for GI Procedures.
2. Cleans and sterilizes equipment per manufactures recommendations.
3. Observes universal precautions.
4. Operates and troubleshoots equipment.
5. Refers situations beyond ability or function to proper person.
6. Participates in the PI/Safety Program.
7. Assists with maintaining adequate inventory of supplies.
8. Informs Nurse in A&D Unit or charge GI Tech.
9. Aware of exposure to hazardous materials.
10. Performs other tasks and duties as directed by Truxtun Surgery Center Nursing Director or Physician, which are within their legal limitations.
11. Seeks educational 0pportunities and accepts responsibility for own professional growth and development; participates with in service opportunities and staff meetings.
12. Maintains the patient’s right to privacy.
13. Monitors and competes all scope, Rapicide and autoclave logs. Run appropriate controls and tests: Rapicide per every load, Autoclave daily. Change and dispose of Rapicide per guidelines.
14. Will perform additional duties as assigned.
You should have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as you will be liaising with clients and colleagues on a daily basis. Ultimately, your goal should be to provide high-quality care to our customers.

Pay: $15.50 - $20.00 per hour
