We provide counseling services for individuals aged 10-99, couples, and families, along with conducting various skills and therapy groups. Our team of Professional Clinicians and Nurse Practitioners brings expertise in specialized areas such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), trauma, marital therapy, and medication management. Additionally, we offer training and workshop opportunities to support personal and professional growth.
Role Description
This is a commission-based, on-site position for a Professional Christian Counselor at Truth in Love Counseling, LLC, located in Bloomington, IL. The counselor will provide individual, group, couple, and family counseling services. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing and implementing personalized treatment plans, maintaining accurate and confidential client records, and collaborating with other professionals as needed. Additionally, the counselor will lead educational workshops or therapy groups to support diverse client needs. The position starts with part-time hours with the intent to reach full-time caseload within a year.
Qualifications
- Expertise in counseling skills, including individual, group, and family therapy
- Proven ability to work effectively with women and couples with a variety of issues, including trauma-related issues. Additional experience with children and adolescents is desired but not required.
- Proficiency in conducting assessments and developing tailored treatment plans
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide compassionate and nonjudgmental support
- A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field; state licensure or license-eligible (LPC, LCPC, LMFT, or LCSW) is required. Graduated but pre-licensed candidates may be considered.
