Gummy Production Associate - Gummy Manufacturing

Position Overview

TrustWorks Manufacturing is seeking a reliable and hardworking Gummy Production Associate to assist with the manufacturing and packaging of dietary supplement gummies.

This is an active, hands-on position that involves working directly on the gummy production line. Responsibilities include weighing ingredients, preparing materials, assisting production operators, moving trays and equipment, packaging finished products, completing production documentation, and helping maintain a clean and organized manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, physically capable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately weigh and prepare ingredients according to batch records and production instructions.
• Stage ingredients, utensils, containers, trays, carts, and other materials before production.
• Assist production operators with gummy cooking, mixing, depositing, cooling, curing, coating, and finishing.
• Add or move ingredients and production materials as directed.
• Transport gummy trays, racks, containers, carts, and supplies throughout the production facility.
• Assist with oil coating, sugar coating, sanding, and other gummy-finishing processes.
• Monitor gummies for visible defects, including irregular shape, color, texture, or appearance.
• Remove damaged or nonconforming gummies when instructed.
• Help maintain a steady and efficient production-line workflow.
• Report equipment issues, material problems, or unusual product conditions to a supervisor.

Packaging and Warehouse Support

• Assist with counting, filling, sealing, labeling, and packing finished products.
• Inspect bottles, pouches, labels, seals, lot codes, and finished packages for accuracy.
• Assemble boxes and prepare finished products for storage or shipment.
• Receive, move, organize, and stage ingredients, packaging materials, and supplies.
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries.
• Organize shelves, pallets, production materials, and warehouse areas.
• Perform inventory counts and report missing or damaged materials.
• Use carts, pallet jacks, and other approved material-handling equipment.
• Assist with other production, packaging, and warehouse duties as assigned.

Documentation and Quality

• Record ingredient weights, lot numbers, quantities, production counts, and other required information.
• Complete production, packaging, cleaning, and inventory documentation accurately and legibly.
• Follow batch records, standard operating procedures, and supervisor instructions.
• Verify that the correct ingredients, materials, labels, and packaging components are being used.
• Report documentation errors or quality concerns immediately.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices, hygiene rules, safety procedures, and contamination-prevention requirements.

Cleaning and Sanitation

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, utensils, trays, containers, tables, floors, and work areas.
• Prepare clean equipment and supplies for upcoming production runs.
• Complete required cleaning and sanitation logs.
• Properly dispose of production waste.
• Keep production and warehouse areas clean, safe, and organized throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Previous food production, supplement manufacturing, warehouse, packaging, or general labor experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience weighing ingredients or working on a manufacturing line is a plus.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Basic math skills for weighing, counting, and recording quantities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in an active and fast-paced environment.
• Willing to perform manufacturing, packaging, cleaning, documentation, and warehouse duties.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow strict production procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements.
• Ability to move ingredients, trays, racks, containers, carts, and production supplies.
• Ability to work in warm production areas and cooled areas when required.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including hairnets, beard covers, gloves, safety shoes, and protective clothing.
