Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Finish Carpenter to oversee and execute high-quality finish carpentry projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of construction techniques, blueprint reading, and various carpentry disciplines. Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate finish carpentry activities including trim, cabinetry, door hanging, fixture installation, and siding.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to accurately execute project specifications.
- Perform framing, drywall installation, plastering, stucco application, and metal stud framing as needed.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently.
- Manage construction estimating tasks for project planning and resource allocation.
- Oversee the installation of flooring, tile laying, roofing components, water damage restoration efforts, and masonry work.
- Conduct heavy lifting and assist with concrete forming, rebar installation, plumbing, electrical work, and remodeling tasks.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards while maintaining a clean work environment.
- Mentor and supervise team members to promote best practices in carpentry and construction techniques.
- Collaborate with project managers to meet deadlines and client specifications.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site environments with a strong background in carpentry disciplines including trim carpentry, framing, cabinetry installation, and roofing.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and schematic-based fabrication.
- Skilled with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and specialized equipment such as rebar benders or plastering tools.
- Knowledge of restoration industry practices including water damage remediation, mold remediation, demolition, and structural repairs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks over extended periods.
- Strong understanding of building codes, safety protocols, and industry standards related to siding, drywall finishing, electrical wiring basics (if applicable), plumbing rough-ins (if applicable), masonry work, tile laying, flooring installation, and fixture mounting.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively while maintaining a focus on quality craftsmanship.
- Valid driver's license preferred; relevant certifications or licenses are a plus. This position is integral to delivering superior craftsmanship on diverse projects while leading a skilled team of carpenters in a fast-paced construction environment.
