Safety Engineer in TX - Onsite role

• 5-10 Years of experience 
• Display thorough understanding of safety, company, and quality requirements. Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement mitigation plans.
• Demonstrate a proactive, self-motivated work ethic with the ability to self-manage and execute once given strategic direction, along with strong interpersonal skills including collaboration, trust-building, and teamwork
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and present information clearly, concisely, and at the appropriate level of detail

Functions:

·        Acts as functional Lab Safety expert and work with internal Client groups such as IT business Partners to maintain safety compliance

·        Perform periodic audits of mandatory safety procedures and shares results with management team

·        Coordinate with Quality – Safety group to complete required procedures related to a lab environment

·        Coach Engineers working in lab on hazard awareness and recognition

·        Develop and maintain operating procedures to represent the status of all safety requirements

·        Solves intermediate business problems within team and projects

·        Takes ‘functional’ approach to identify opportunities and supports team in creating solutions

·        Capture and document daily safety procedures
