Home Health Aide (HHA)
Location: Hicksville, Long Island
Schedule: 28 hours per week (9am-1pm, 7 days per week)
Trusting Hands Homecare Agency is seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide one-on-one care to a client in Hicksville, NY. This role is ideal for someone who is caring, dependable, and enjoys making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
- Provide health care services according to the client’s care plan.
- Assist with personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, respiration, pulse) and report any changes to the nurse.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
- Accompany clients to doctor appointments, therapy sessions, or hospital visits as needed.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote comfort and well-being.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client information at all times.
- Follow the care plan and communicate promptly any changes in condition or concerns.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid New York State Home Health Aide (HHA) certification.
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with special needs preferred.
- Ability to handle physical aspects of caregiving (lifting, repositioning, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, compassionate, and patient.
