Duties
- Perform comprehensive inspections of vacation rental units before guest check-in to ensure cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
- Assess the condition of inventory, floors, surfaces, furniture, appliances, and fixtures, ensuring they meet company standards.
- Verify that all cleaning tasks have been completed thoroughly using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks (changing AC filters, lightbulbs, batteries, etc.) and light housekeeping duties as needed (leaf blowing pool decks, spot cleaning, etc.)
- Document inspection results accurately, noting any damages or maintenance issues requiring attention.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and internal teams to communicate inspection findings and coordinate timely repairs or cleaning enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with STR emergency procedures and safety protocols during inspections to guarantee guest safety at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management, custodial or janitorial roles, or industrial cleaning environments.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including vacuuming, floor cleaning, and maintenance.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when moving furniture or cleaning equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with sanitation standards and best practices for maintaining hygienic environments.
- Competence in using cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, mops, and other janitorial tools.
- Understanding of hotel/STR emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) for chemical handling.
- Experience with hotel/STR housekeeping management systems or hospitality industry standards is a plus.
