Job Description
Trusted Space is seeking a Senior Aerospace Mission Solutions Architect with a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or higher and 10-15 years’ experience to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Mission Level System-of-Systems Engineering: Provide customers assistance is capturing, maturing and executing a mission capability through system-of-systems integration.
- System Design and Architecture: Develop high-level and detailed architectures for complex space systems, ensuring they meet functional requirements, security standards, and industry regulations.
- Technology Evaluation and Integration: Lead the assessment and integration of new technologies to enhance product offerings and operational efficiency.
- Requirements Translation: Work with customers, industry stakeholders, and subject matter experts to translate complex needs into technical specifications and implementation strategies.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to best practices.
- Proposal Writing & Business Development: Contribute to proposals, develop and present technical concepts to clients and non-technical audiences, and build trusted advisor relationships.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot technical issues, evaluate designs for feasibility and compliance, and identify solutions to complex technical challenges.
- Software Agile Development: Champion Agile methodologies and lead technical design and software implementation efforts in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or a relevant technical degree.
- An Active Top Secret clearance with SCI
- Systems Thinking: Ability to understand and design large-scale "system-of-systems," from ground segments to space systems.
- Knowledge of frameworks: Familiarity with frameworks like DoDAF (Department of Defense Architecture Framework) and MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering).
- Software Architecture: Awareness and understanding of software architectures, microservices, APIs, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Aerospace & Defense Domain Knowledge: Understanding of core industry processes, standards & regulations, and the specific technical needs of the aerospace and defense sector.
- Communication: Excellent ability to present complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Desired Skills
- Master’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering or a relevant technical degree
- Space systems experience across multiple government domains (Title 10, Title 50, NASA, Civil)
- Experience with Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA) approaches the development of complex system-of-systems.
- Experience with Business Development processes and identification of customer needs.
- Experience using STK, GMAT, or similar mission analysis tools to help develop, analyze, and visualize space architectures.
Salary Range: The salary range for this role is $160,000-$200,000. Please note that this range is a general guideline and can vary. Trusted Space, Inc. considers several factors when extending an offer including, but not limited to: scope, location, position responsibilities, education/training, key skills and business considerations.
