We are seeking a motivated Calibration Technician to join our team and support daily operations while meeting customer and regulatory requirements.
Position Summary: The Calibration Tech position is responsible for managing calibration schedule of inspection equipment/tools and other assigned inspection tasks.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Prior experience working with precision measuring tools like Calipers, Micrometers and other tools typically found in manufacturing.
- Basic proficiency in measuring mathematics and understanding of tolerances.
Core Contributing Skills, Duties, and Responsibilities to the Organization
- Must have working knowledge and demonstrate dimensional inspection techniques to ensure product quality and conformity. Check flatness, concentricity, true position, etc.
- Must have working knowledge quality management system and related procedures to support quality system.
- Must utilize with completeness and accuracy quality documentation such as source inspection, first articles, IPI and DIP to ensure product quality and conformity.
- Under the direction of quality manager, responsible for calibration of quality inspection tooling, maintaining calibration software, log, stickers, and documentation of quality Inspection tooling.
- Must understand and demonstrate industrial quality standards such as AS9102, AS9103 and ASME Y 14.5 to ensure product quality and conformity.
- Team oriented in fostering teamwork, providing support, establishing focus, empowering others, building collaborative relationships.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting up to 25 lbs regularly
- Sitting at a computer for long periods for data entry
- Vision acuity tested and compensated for any near-sightedness
