Position Details
RN - Intermediate Care (2E)
NO LOCAL CANDIDATES (must reside outside 50-mile radius)
MUST pass EKG Exam at Orientation (Study Guide Available in Simplify Library) OR EKG Exam not required
Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
Travel experience preferred
Experience required: Critical thinking, communication skills, time management, electronic documentation,
oxygen therapy, medication administration, wound care/dressing changes, vital signs, IV insertion,
NG tube management, recognizing early signs of deterioration
Preferred: Advanced cardiac rhythm interpretation, ACLS, knowledge of cardiac drips
Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
Schedule: 36 Hr-GTE, 12-Hr Days, every other weekend and holiday required

Unit Specific Details
Unit: 2E - Intermediate Care (29 Beds; capability to expand to 37 beds with 8 semi-private rooms)
Patient Population: CKD, DM, CHF, UTI, GI bleeds, respiratory failure (COPD, pneumonia), sepsis, and similar conditions
Skills Required: Intermediate care experience preferred; telemetry monitoring; wound care; IV therapy; NG tube management; recognition of patient deterioration
Equipment: Telemetry monitors, wound vac, warming blankets, IV pumps, PCA pumps
Support Staff: PCTs and HUC
Floating: Traveler may float to other MS/Telemetry units
Charting/Systems: EPIC; additional systems include PerfectServe and Dimensions
Ratio*: 1:3-5
