Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Intervention Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction and support to students with IEPs, collaborate with related service providers and paraprofessionals, and foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state standards and student needs.
- Deliver differentiated instruction using evidence-based strategies and trauma-informed practices.
- Collaborate closely with Speech-Language, Occupational, and BCBA and RBTs to integrate therapeutic goals into daily learning.
- Collect data on academic and behavioral progress and communicate updates to families and districts.
- Support RBTs in implementing instructional strategies.
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff training, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license (or eligibility for licensure).
- Experience working with students with mild to intensive needs preferred.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching.
