Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a nurturing spirit and a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for young children.
Responsibilities
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that supports each child's emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Plan and implement weekly developmentally appropriate, learn through play based activities.
- Maintain consistent daily routines including learning time, meals, naps, diapering/toileting and transitions while ensuring control, health and safety at all times.
- Supervise and engage with children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social interactions and emotional growth.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness to provide an optimal learning space.
- Be knowledge and ensure compliance with Alabama Department of Human Resources Minimum Standards, all licensing regulations, health and safety standards and center polices.
Skills
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Experience creating and implementing lesson plans with infants and young children in various settings such as daycare.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures to ensure the safety of all students.
- Ability to work effectively with children who have disabilities or special needs.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and staff members effectively.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young learners.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (CDA or Early Childhood Education preferred)
- Previous experience working with infant and/or toddlers in a licensed childcare setting
- Knowledge of child development and age appropriate practices/
- CPR and First Aid certification (or wiliness to obtain)
