Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a nurturing spirit and a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for young children.

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that supports each child's emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Plan and implement weekly developmentally appropriate, learn through play based activities.
  • Maintain consistent daily routines including learning time, meals, naps, diapering/toileting and transitions while ensuring control, health and safety at all times.
  • Supervise and engage with children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social interactions and emotional growth.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness to provide an optimal learning space.
  • Be knowledge and ensure compliance with Alabama Department of Human Resources Minimum Standards, all licensing regulations, health and safety standards and center polices.

Skills

  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Experience creating and implementing lesson plans with infants and young children in various settings such as daycare.
  • Knowledge of first aid procedures to ensure the safety of all students.
  • Ability to work effectively with children who have disabilities or special needs.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and staff members effectively.
  • Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young learners.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent (CDA or Early Childhood Education preferred)
  • Previous experience working with infant and/or toddlers in a licensed childcare setting
  • Knowledge of child development and age appropriate practices/
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or wiliness to obtain)
