Security Officer — Hattiesburg, MS and surround areas
TruPoint Security is hiring security officers in and around the Hattiesburg, Mississippi area.
Pay: Based on training and experience
Hours: 40 hours per week
Available shifts: Nights, Days, 12-hour, 8-hour
Benefits: Holiday pay, overtime, and professional training
Responsibilities
Depending on the assignment, you may patrol and monitor the property, control access for employees and visitors, monitor surveillance cameras, respond to safety concerns, and document daily activities and incidents. Duties may also include communicating with site staff and local authorities, operating security equipment, and following client protocols.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
- High school diploma or GED
- Dependable communication
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
At least one year of relevant experience is preferred. Veterans, law enforcement personnel, and applicants with prior security experience are encouraged to apply.
Applicants with limited experience must complete security guard training unless their prior law enforcement or relevant military training and experience qualifies them for an exemption. Continued employment depends on successful completion of required training.
