TruNorth Federal Credit Union is seeking a Branch Manager to join their growing team in Marquette, MI. TruNorth Federal Credit Union is a $200 million credit union with 2 branch locations and over 40 employees. This is a full-time exempt position reporting directly to the President/CEO. This position typically works an average of 40 hours per week but may be expected to occasionally work beyond traditional work hours, including working until 6 pm and being the point of contact for emergency situations and after-hour issues involving the branch. The Branch Manager will be primarily based in Marquette with occasional meetings scheduled at the main office in Ishpeming or other locations.
The successful candidate for this position will be expected to manage all aspects of the Marquette branch office including scheduling, training, coaching, developing, and evaluating staff to ensure members receive exceptional service. Regular communication and collaboration with the President/CEO and other leaders throughout the organization is expected. This position is also responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and physical operation of the branch in coordination with other employees or external vendors.
Primary Responsibilities:
Minimum Experience: 1-year of experience working in financial institutions, financial services, or other relevant industries
Preferences: Post high school education or training
Prior supervisory experience is recommended and a plus

Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of highly motivated and well-trained staff to ensure the branch provides excellent member service and maintains the credit union’s professional image by delivering services efficiently, professionally, and in compliance with existing regulations and policies.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to conduct interviews and select quality applicants for vacancies, ensuring alignment with the credit union's standards and culture.
- Conduct performance evaluations and address disciplinary matters by providing constructive feedback on individual team members’ performance, seeking guidance from Human Resources when necessary.
- Monitor and approve employee scheduling to ensure sufficient coverage to meet member needs.
- Coordinate the training schedule for new team members and ongoing training needs.
- Assist team members in resolving complex or escalated member issues, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Coach team members on credit union products and services and how to educate members on how these offerings can meet their financial needs.
- Regularly communicate with the President/CEO and collaborate with other leaders throughout the credit union regarding various issues and initiatives.
- Monitor branch activity, including transaction volume, teller errors, loan volume, new accounts opened, etc., to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure the safety and security of branch operations while maintaining a consistent, professional appearance, coordinating efforts with third-party service vendors for various branch maintenance needs.
- Solicit feedback from team members regarding logistics and pain points to recommend process improvements and efficiencies for branch operations.
- Provide a variety of member service transactions, including initiating wire transfers, assisting members with IRA accounts, etc.
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs), ensuring they are functional, stocked, and secure, and coordinate with IT and service vendors for troubleshooting and repairs.
- May serve as a loan officer, conducting loan interviews, processing loans, and resolving member lending-related issues, contributing to the credit union's lending goals.
- Periodic or occasional after-hours callouts may occur for alarm system events that require Manager’s attention and physical presence at the Marquette Office to diagnose and solve security or alarm panel issues.
