Retail Sales Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers in a retail gift store environment. You will assist with product demonstrations, manage cash register operations, receiving and ensure that the sales floor is well-stocked, clean and organized. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for retail sales.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their shopping needs.
• Operate cash registers efficiently, processing transactions accurately.
• Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and promote sales.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor by stocking shelves and arranging displays.
• Assist in inventory management, including restocking items as necessary.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain store standards.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
• Experience operating cash registers and handling financial transactions.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts to assist in inventory management and sales reporting.
• Ability to perform product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits of items.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a broader customer base.
• Previous experience in retail store environments is preferred but not required.
• A proactive attitude towards stocking shelves, cleaning and maintaining an organized workspace.
