POSITION:
- Long Term Substitute- English Language Arts (Grades 11 & 12)
- Lordstown High School
- November 2025- March 2026
- Valid state teaching license or substitute teaching license (required).
- Strong background in English Language Arts, literature, and writing instruction.
- Effective communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with high school students.
- Deliver instruction aligned to district curriculum and state standards.
- Teach core ELA content including literature analysis, college-level writing, research skills, and vocabulary development.
- Facilitate engaging lessons for whole-group, small-group, and individual learners.
- Maintain accurate attendance, assignments, and grading records.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback on student work.
- Communicate professionally with students, families, and colleagues.
- Support a positive, safe, and productive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with ELA department staff as needed.
