Job Responsibilities
The Truman State University Department of Music invites applications for the position of Staff Collaborative Pianist. This is a nine-month, renewable, benefits-eligible position to begin in August 2024.
- Collaborate with vocal and instrumental students in lessons, juries, and recitals.
- Collaborate with faculty and guest artists in performances.
- Support ensemble performances as needed.
- Other related duties as assigned.

The Community: Located in northeast Missouri, Kirksville is a cultural and economic hub in the region. Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in collaborative piano or piano performance.
- Excellent collaborative performance skills.
- Excellent sight-reading skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to collegiality within the learning community.
Preferred Qualifications
- ABD or doctorate in collaborative piano or piano performance.
- Extensive knowledge of instrumental and vocal repertoire.
- Accompanying experience beyond graduate assistantship.

Salary
The salary for this position is $34,416 annually.
