Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient FOH team member to join our team at a fine dining restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers have a pleasant dining experience while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant. Expedite online orders to assigned shelves.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit.
- Accurately process cash, credit, and debit transactions using the cash register or POS system.
- Assist customers with menu selections and answer any questions regarding food items or specials.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the cashier area and throughout the café.
- Handle cash responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling practices are followed.
- Support kitchen staff as needed during busy periods to ensure timely service.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies at the cashier station and communicate needs to management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a quick service fast food restaurant or setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience operating a cash register is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food service sanitation practices is a plus.
