Job summary

This position will work closely with Customer Service, Materials and Production to maximize industrial production while helping to maintain efficient and steady production flow.

• Salary range: $65,000-$75,000

What You Will Be Doing:

• Define, develop and document the production scheduling & capacity planning processes.
• Responsible for tracking and working with a cross functional team to ensure all backorders are accounted for on a daily basis.
• Report discrepancies of any damaged products to management and track defective glass daily.
• Provide timely feedback for Customer Service and Operations Management on all functions of the role
• Provide clerical support to assist Purchasing/ Receiving division staff in the completion of duties & responsibilities
• Ensures that run sheets and production schedule is available to view per managements instructions
• Communicates lead time with management, customer service, salesman, and optimizer

Skills You Bring:

• Prior experience of 2 years in manufacturing inventory or related skill preferred
• Clear understanding of demand based on the product mix.
• Ability to take role of managing stock in the production schedule
• Basic understanding of glass fabrication and manufacturing, CNC machining and assembly.
• Experience with use of production planning and scheduling within an ERP/MRP system, familiarity specifically with Microsoft AX Dynamics is a plus
• Must be flexible to accommodate critical downloads, rush orders, etc.
