In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality exterior carpentry work on a variety of building projects, including residential, commercial, and restoration sites. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that require a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
You’ll work independently on small scopes and as part of a crew on larger projects.

Responsibilities
- Install and repair exterior framing (walls, porches, roof structures, additions)
- Install siding systems (vinyl, fiber cement, wood, metal)
- Install exterior trim: fascia, soffit, corner boards, window/door trim, decorative elements
- Install and replace exterior doors and windows, including proper flashing
- Build and repair decks, stairs, and railings to code
- Perform structural repairs including rot replacement and sheathing repair
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and scopes of work
- Measure, cut, and shape materials using hand and power tools
- Fabricate custom exterior components on-site or in the shop to meet project specifications.
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and protect customer property
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members
- Document work performed when required (photos, notes)
Requirements
- 3–5 years of exterior carpentry experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of framing, siding, trim, and deck construction
- Ability to safely use saws, nailers, levels, squares, and other carpentry tools
- Understanding of building codes, flashing principles, and waterproofing
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work on ladders or scaffolding
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to work independently or as part of a crew
- Experience with construction estimating processes is a plus for understanding project scope and material needs.
- Knowledge of safety protocols on construction sites to ensure a secure working environment for all team members.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements or unforeseen challenges.
