Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. As an In Home Caregiver, you will work closely with clients to assist with daily activities, monitor health status, and create a comfortable environment that fosters dignity and respect. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking.
- Help with mobility and transfers using patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient observations, progress notes, and incident reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support clients during medical appointments or community outings by providing personal transportation assistance.
Skills
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, including developmental or intellectual disabilities support.
- Extensive home health care experience, including geriatrics, hospice care, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and memory care.
- Strong knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, care plans, medication administration, and resident’s rights.
- Skilled in manual handling, heavy lifting, patient transfer methods, CPR, first aid, and basic life support procedures.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance to ensure client confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- Ability to observe patient conditions carefully and communicate effectively with clients and healthcare teams.
- Experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes or long-term care environments is highly desirable.
