This hybrid role sits at the intersection of practice innovation and legal tech, overseeing a portfolio of advanced AI-driven solutions across the firm. The ideal candidate brings deep law firm tech stack expertise, hands-on experience with a broad swath of legal AI tools, and a proven ability to lead demos, drive adoption, and influence stakeholders across legal and technical teams. A background in a law firm or legal tech vendor is preferred, and a JD or paralegal experience is a strong plus. - Stay abreast and keep the firm apprised of new developments, trends, tools, technology solutions and best practices in the legal industry, focusing heavily on litigation and discovery-related technology and services, including rapidly developing applications of generative AI in litigation technology solutions
- Research, evaluate and recommend practice innovation tools and solutions focused on enhancing accuracy and collaboration in legal service delivery
- Partner with colleagues in department as well as IT, Office of General Counsel and Information Security to evaluate emerging legal technologies for use at the firm, including:
- Working with knowledge and innovation attorneys, discovery attorneys, and practicing attorneys to identify opportunities across litigation-related practice groups to utilize new technologies, including developing needs and business cases, evaluating market tools and/or custom solutions and surfacing recommendations to department leadership
- Collaborate with internal discovery professionals regarding electronic discovery best practices and specific challenges, such as data collection, data processing, AI-enabled workflows, and document production
- Work with department leadership to help shape prioritization of new technology requests and department technology projects;
- Drive new technology projects through the technology intake and onboarding process, including communicating with stakeholders, managing pilots, managing vendors, setting targets for deployment and developing plans for training, messaging and rollout to stakeholders
- Continuously drive evaluation and adoption of a portfolio of practice solutions, including:
- Collaborating with colleagues, including knowledge and innovation attorneys, change management, IT and others, to develop and drive awareness and adoption campaigns with the relevant practices
- Project manage plans for driving awareness and adoption, including measuring results and providing updates to stakeholders and department leadership
- Developing standard methods for evaluating adoption, including usage reports, user surveys and other techniques
- Leading technology demonstration sessions
- Project manage the design, build and delivery of off-the-shelf and custom technology solutions, in collaboration with the Practice Innovation legal technology development and litigation technology teams
- Serve as primary point of contact for a portfolio of assigned practice solutions
- Establish credibility with attorneys and leaders as a valuable resource and consultant in litigation technology and services
- Facilitate the flow of information and communication to ensure all stakeholders are fully informed at all times
- Together with the discovery team, manage relationships with vendors and suppliers as needed
- Collaborate to develop best practices and methodologies
- Handle additional related projects as requested
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders and departments, including:
- Managing and resolving issues with project timelines, scope and budget
- Actively driving projects to timelines and completion
- Developing project proposals, plans, progress reports and presentations
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders to drive results, including firm leadership and firm clients, including:
- Demonstrated experience using change management technologies, including video creation, screen capture, and web design tools
- Superior written and oral communication skills and ability to effectively present to small and large groups
- Superior PowerPoint creation and presentation skills
- Advanced knowledge of complex discovery issues
- Advanced knowledge of eDiscovery and litigation technologies including Relativity, RelOne, Concordance, Opus2, Disco, AI methodologies, and workflows
- Expert knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Bachelor’s degree, required; JD a plus
- Project management professional certification (PMP) or equivalent a plus
- Some project management or business analyst experience
- Some knowledge management, discovery technology or services, or information technology experience
- Significant experience in a litigation-related professional services or legal environment
- Experience with legal uses of generative AI a plus
Salary : $150,000 - $230,000
