Our client is an organization in the Winnebago County area looking for a Controller. This company is looking for someone with 6 years of experience, who is inquisitive, and an excellent leader. The salary for this job is $120k - $125k.
The Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the general ledger system and closing processes.
- Post month-end entries and reconcile accounts to ensure accurate financial statements.
- Maintain compliance with Sales and Use Tax regulations.
- Oversee inventory valuation, fixed asset tracking, and treasury management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead implementation strategies.
- Serve as a key liaison with auditors and ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team, ensuring their professional growth and success.
The Controller will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting. CPA certification preferred.
- 3 years of leadership experience supervising an accounting department preferred.
- Public accounting and manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables.
- High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
