Develops and manages operational risk and risk-related policies, as well as reviews and coordinates with business areas to develop Service Finance specific risk policies to ensure compliance with the Operational Risk Policy and Framework. Manages operational risk management communications, training, documentation, procedures, and processes. Provides leadership and direction on operational risk management industry developments. Manages lower level Operational Risk & Control Analysts and Consultants.

- Execute Service Finance’s Enterprise and Operational risk management processes, in alignment with the Truist Risk Policies and Procedures.
- Implements strategies and methods related to the execution of risk management frameworks within the organization, including but not limited to risk and control assessments, change risk, loss events, issues management strategies.
- Foster an environment where team members can grow in relevant knowledge and experience.
Required Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Twelve years’ progressive work related experience with demonstrated proficiency and understanding of operational risk.
- Six years supervisory or management level experience.
- Demonstrated experience with regulatory agencies, requirements, and/or regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of principles and practices of Consumer Finance.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fluid environment, and to work both independently and as a team member.
- Demonstrated ability to access and analyze actual and emerging risks within highly complex business.
- MBA or advanced degree.
- Professional certification in risk management.
- Corporate level consulting experience.
- Experience in the financial services industry.
